Dr. Scott Stanat MD

 

Dr. Stanat, a New York native, graduated in 2000 from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  Subsequently in 2001, he received a Masters in Science in Pharmacology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.  He obtained his Medical Degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn NY, in 2006 and his residency was completed at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center in 2011.


Dr. Stanat went on to complete a total joint replacement fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, FL.  During his fellowship training, he worked with several world renowned surgeons within the field of total joint arthroplasty.  There, he perfected many cutting edge techniques for performing hip and knee joint replacement.


Currently, he serves as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.  He is Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.


Dr. Stanat is the primary author of multiple publications in the field of orthopedics and total joint arthroplasty. 


He enjoys skiing, swimming, and outdoor activities.  He is married and has two daughters.
